Five swimmers compete at tri-state meet in Iowa The Vermillion Area Swim Team had five swimmers compete at a tri-state meet in Sioux Center, IA, on Dec. 15.
Teams from Yankton, Sioux City and South Sioux City were there.
Individual results are:
10 and under girls � Abby Safar, fifth 50 fly; seventh 50 back; sixth 100 IM and 50 free; 15th 50 breast; Karissa Martin, first 50 fly, 50 back, 100 IM, 50 free and 50 breast.
10 and under boys � Taylor Jensen, fifth 50 fly; seventh 50 back; first 100 IM; seventh 50 free; and fifth 50 breast.
11 and 12 boys � Tony Jensen, first 50 fly, 50 back and 200 IM; second 50 free and 50 breast.
15-18 boys � Justin Manning, first 50 free, 100 fly, 200 IM and 100 free; second 100 breast.
The next meet will be Jan. 5 in Yankton.
