Obituaries Irene Rabusch
Irene G. Rabusch, 84 of Sioux Falls, died Monday, Dec. 10, 2001 at Avera McKennan Hospital, Sioux Falls.
Mass of Christian burial was held at 11 a.m., Friday, Dec. 14, at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Vermillion. Visitation began at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Miller Funeral Home, Sioux Falls, where a parish scripture service was said at 7 p.m., Thursday. Memorials may be directed to the Vermillion Senior Citizens Center.
On Aug. 22, 1938, she was united in marriage to Thomas Ryan Rabusch in Vermillion. Mrs. Rabusch then centered her life on being a loving homemaker and mother. After her children were older she worked in the family business, Tom & Bud's Super Valu as a bookkeeper. After retiring, Mrs. Rabusch became an active member and volunteer of the Vermillion Senior Citizens Center. Mr. Rabusch preceded her in death in 1995.
She was a member of Christ The King Catholic Church, Sioux Falls, and member of St. Agnes Catholic Chirch in Vermillion for over 60 years. Mrs. Rabusch had a great love for music and enjoyed playing the piano. She was an avid bridge player establishing long and cherished friendships with the ladies with whom she played.
Grateful for having shared her life are her four daughters, Robin Gamer and her husband, Bill, Bloomington, MN, Karen Pekas and her husband, Dr. Michael, Sioux Falls, Anita Smith and her husband, Larry, Seattle, WA, June Cassat and her husband, Dr. James, Washington, MO; her son, Thomas Karl Rabusch, Seattle, WA; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Max Brown and his wife Norma, Austin, MN nd a host of other relatives and friends.
