Southeast Experiment Farm schedules annual meeting The board of directors of the Southeast South Dakota Experiment Farm Corporation has scheduled the corporation's annual meeting Jan. 29, 1 p.m., at the Southeast Experiment Farm, rural Beresford.
The feasibilities of adding value to agricultural commodities, feeding GMO crops to livestock, and protecting early planted crops with polymer coated seed are the topics at this year's annual meeting.
Robert Thaler, professor and swine specialist at SDSU, will summarize research on using GMO soybean in swine rations. Robert Berg, associate professor and Southeast Farm manager, will discuss using polymer coated corn seed and highlight other crop research for 2001. Joel Dykstra, CEO of S.D. Ag Producer Ventures at Canton, will explain creative ways that producers can add value to their commodities and why it is important to do so.
