Andersen appointed to Clay-Union Electric board The board of directors of Clay-Union Electric is pleased to announce the appointment of Gordon Andersen as the new director for District #2. After a review of candidates to fill the position, Andersen was selected at the monthly board meeting in January.
Andersen is no stranger to the Clay-Union Electric service territory. He was born in Sioux Falls, and grew up in the rural Centerville area. He graduated from Centerville High School, and attended Mitchell Area Vo-Tech, majoring in agri-business. Currently he farms south of Centerville.
Andersen is on the board of directors of the Southeast South Dakota Experiment Farm. He also serves on his church board, and has served on the Centerville School Board.
His wife, Kelly, is employed at the FSA office in Vermillion. They have two children Nick and Megan. The family is a member of the Komstad Covenant Church of rural Centerville.
Andersen's hobbies include woodworking in his spare time.
Clay-Union Electric welcomes Andersen to the board of directors, and is pleased with the amount of interest shown by members of the co-op in filling the opening.
