Evening with the Stars approaching

Evening with the Stars approaching The Vermillion High School Department of Music in cooperation with the Vermillion Music Boosters will be hosting the 12th annual Evening with the VHS Music Stars, Sunday, March 3 at the Vermillion High School Commons. The event begins at 5:30 p.m.

Evening with the VHS Music Stars is a showcase where the school's S.D.H.S.A.A. Region I solo and ensemble contest participants have another chance to perform their contest entries.

The music department faculty believes that too often parents and friends aren't able to attend must contests, seeing the students' performances.

"Evening" gives them that opportunity and also provides the students with the chance to perform in more of a "dinner-club" setting. Besides solos and small ensembles, the entertainment will also include the VHS Show Choir and VHS Jazz-One.

Evening with the VHS Music Stars is also an evening of good food, presented by high school music students, in a warm and pleasant atmosphere, hosted by the Vermillion Music Boosters.

Come be a part of our celebration. Everyone is invited. Tickets for Evening with the VHS Music Stars are on sale now from any VHS Music students or at Nook 'n Cranny and Davis Pharmacy. Price for each ticket is $10 for dinner or $5 for dessert. It is asked that dinner tickets be purchased before Feb. 28. Only dessert tickets will be sold at the door. For more information contact the VHS department of Music at 677-7035.
