Kruse, Williams named Students of the Month

Kruse, Williams named Students of the Month Megan Kruse and Ben Williams were named the Vermillion High School Students of the Month for January. They were honored for their excellence in the classroom as well as their leadership in extra-curricular activities. A $100 scholarship will be provided by First National Bank in Vermillion for their post-high school education.

Kruse's activities have included the Student Council, yearbook staff, National Honors Society, tutor, volleyball, basketball, chorus and a Girls' State delegate. Her special talent is bowling, where she has won several state titles.

Kruse's parents are Mike and Laurie Kruse. She plans to attend South Dakota State University to major in pharmacy or pre-med.

Williams has been involved with jazz band, National Honors Society, cross country, tennis, Dixieland band and track. He has been active over the years in Boy Scouts and recently achieved the rank of Eagle Scout.

Williams plans to attend Northern Arizona University pursuing a degree in music or math. His parents are Jack and Beth Williams.
