Vermillion JV rolls over Custer Wildcats by Jim Prosser The Vermillion Tanagers rolled over the Custer Wildcats 49-25 in boys� junior varsity basketball Feb. 2 at home.

David Yutrzenka scored 13 points and pulled down seven rebounds. Collin Prosser contributed eight rebounds, two steals and three assists.

The Tanagers led 10-6 after the first quarter, led 26-12 at halftime, and then led 35-21 going into the final period.

The Tanagers committed only 6 turnovers in the victory.

�I think David (Yutrzenka) had a good game at both ends of the court,� said Vermillion JV Coach Rex Huska. �As a team I think we played just about a complete game with very few mental mistakes.�

Vermillion JV improved its record to 8-4, while Custer dropped to 2-9.

Vermillion JV sank 1 of 11 three-point attempts and hit 10 of 18 from the line. The Tanagers hit 18 of 40 field goals, while Custer was 11 of 30 from the field. Custer made 1 of 4 three-point tries and hit 0 of 2 from the line.
