VHS students finalists in business competition Ben Parsons and Molly O'Connor, Vermillion High School students, were among the six finalists in the South Dakota Banker's Association 2002 Business Plan Competition Contest. On Feb. 6, Parsons and O'Connor traveled to Pierre for an oral interview, an evening reception, and awards dinner. They tied for fourth place in the contest.
At the contest, the two students met Carol Hillard District 17 Sen.; Lieutenant Governor Randy Johnson; president of the S.D. Bankers' Association; Joe Reedy, Vermillion; Attorney General Mark Barnett; State Rep. Matt Michels, Yankton; and State Senator Patricia DeHueck. They also saw both houses in session.
