Clay RWS announces scholarship program The Clay Rural Water System of Wakonda is pleased to announce its 2002-03 Scholarship Program for system members.
Two $500 grants will be awarded for the 2002-03 school year to a member or the children of members of Clay Rural Water.
The program is intended to recognize the achievements of area youth and assist them in bettering themselves by obtaining a higher education.
This is the 10th year of the program. Residents residing in the towns of Wakonda and Gayville are also eligible. The grants will be available to a student who is enrolled or planning to enroll in a full time undergraduate course of study at an accredited, two-year, or four-year college, university, or vocational/ technical school.
The recipients will be pre-qualified based on a combination of academics, extra-curricular and community service criteria. Two winners will be drawn from the qualified group. Applications can be obtained from high school guidance counselors or by contacting Clay Rural Water at (605) 267-2088. The deadline to submit applications is April 10.
