Duo to welcome spring with concert USD music professors Dr. John Thomson and Dr. Susanne Skyrm plan to mark the arrival of spring with a special concert on Wednesday, March 20 at 8 p.m. in the America's Shrine to Music Museum. They will feature the Spring Sonata by Beethoven along with two other sonatas by Mozart and Schubert.
Thomson and Skyrm will perform on period instruments, or historic instruments, that are in the same condition as when the music to be performed was composed.
Thomson said, "Beethoven's Spring Sonata is a beautiful way to welcome the new season. It is very cheerful and optimistic in character everything that one hopes for spring."
The concert is free, and the public is invited to attend.
