Spring band concert is April 7 The University of South Dakota Symphonic Band will present a concert Sunday afternoon, April 7 at 3 p.m. in Slagle Auditorium. Highlighting the program will be performances of Inchon composed by Robert W. Smith and Yiddish Dances by Adam Gorb. Other program selections include Colours by Roger Cichy, Overture Jubiloso by Frank Erickson, Vesuvius by Frank Ticheli, and Cam Busters March, by Eric Coates.
The 65-member symphonic band is under the direction of Dr. Lawrence L. Mitchell. The public is invited to attend the concert at no admission charge. Plan to attend to witness a helicopter flight into and out of Slagle Auditorium during the performance of Inchon.
