Spring Fling scheduled May 4 The College of Fine Arts announces its fourth annual Spring Fling for the Arts to be held on Saturday, May 4 starting at 11 a.m. at the Warren M. Lee Center for the Fine Arts on The University of South Dakota campus.
The Spring Fling is a celebration of student art, music, and theatre activities. There will be a student art sale at 11 a.m. as well as music concerts throughout the day. At 1 p.m. the theatre department will present a program of scenes from acting and directing classes to be held in the area theatre. In addition, student work from theatre design classes will be on display.
At 4 p.m. there will be an outdoor picnic. The celebration will culminate at 7:30 p.m. in the Wayne S. Knutson Theatre in the Warren M. Lee Center for the Arts with a concert featuring both the USD Symphonic Band directed by Dr. Larry Mitchell and the USD Chamber Singers under the direction of Dr. Matthew Harden. All events are free and open to the public.
