Senior men's fun golf league
Tuesday, April 9 marked the opening of the season for the seniors. Thirty-three men showed up on a sunny, windy day. Scores were most competitive with a range from 38 to 43. (Fine golf, seniors!)
Our champions for the day were Ken Beringer, Stan Munger and Jack Stewart who scored a 38. Other prize winners were: at 39 � Vern Holter, Ross Johnson, Ron Turner, and Cal Petersen; at 40 � Shorty Hanson, Jim Grabowski, Quentin Oleson, and Bill Rasmussen; Lloyd Helseth, Ted VanBruggen, and Joe Conroy; and Loren Carlson, Jim Reed, and Max Christol; and at 41 � Don Baer, Louie Fostvedt, and Berwyn Svoboda.
The seniors scored four birdies and the shot of the day was Jack Stewart's 50 foot chip-in on hole #7.
Our scheduling format will continue with tee times at about 12:30 to 1:15 p.m. until warmer weather arrives. Watch for notices in the Plain Talk each week. Be sure to be here next Tuesday, and don't wait til the last minute to register � the guys assigning groups need a little time to make the arrangements equal for every one.
