USD women golfers finish fourth Led by a strong second-day performance by Keri Meyerink, The University of South Dakota women's golf team finished fourth at the University of Nebraska-Kearney Invitational that was held April 22-23 at the Meadowlark/Kearney Country Club in Kearney, NE.
Meyerink of Mitchell, finished seventh individually as she shot a two-round total of 161 (85-76). Meyerink's 76 today was the third best score of the day. Northern Colorado won the team competition with a two-day total of 623 (306-317). Nebraska-Omaha was second with 633 (311-322), Nebraska-Kearney, third, 655 (329-326) and South Dakota, fourth, 683 (346-337).
Petra Lindgren of Northern Colorado was the individual medallist with a 147 (74-73) with Tanis Hastman of Nebraska-Omaha finishing second at 152 (76-76). Jenny Deines of Nebraska-Kearney was third with a 155 (80-75).
Other Coyote results at the invite include: Jenny Chandler, Vermillion, 15th, 169 (78-91); Lacey Weber, Salem, 21st, 175 (91-84); Nora Remily, Britton, 22nd, 178 (92-86); and Katie McCormick, Salem, 27th, 196 (105-91).
