Vermillion girls fourth at Canton Relays April 9 by Jim Prosser The Tanager girls� track team scored 59 points to place fourth at the Canton Relays Invitational Tuesday, April 9. There were eight schools represented at the meet.
Vermillion had only one scorer in field events. Anne Carlson placed fourth in the long jump.
Lyndsay Dunkeson placed third in the 100M hurdles and fourth in the 300M hurdles, and Brooke Johnson finished fifth in the 100M hurdles while Brittany Weydert placed fifth in the 300M hurdles.
In the 100M dash, Crystal Coakley was fourth. Nicki Nelson and Nicole Pederson placed third and sixth, in the 200M dash. Heather Heine was fifth in the 400M dash. In the 800M run, Kati Dehner placed third.
In the relays, fourth place was scored in the 4x100M with members Nicki Nelson, Sarah Christopherson, Brooke Johnson and Coakley. the 4x200M relay team of Pederson, Nelson, Carly Bernard and Coakley was third. The 4x400M relay team of (Morgan Brooks, Heine, Kayla Mollet, and Brittney Gilkyson placed fourth, and the 4x800M relay team of Brooks, Dehner, K. Mollet, and Gilkyson came in second.
