VHS golf posts 4-0 season by Jim Prosser The VHS girls� golf team continued its winning ways as it played the Brookings Bobcats at The Bluffs Friday, April 5. The conditions were favorable for decent scoring and the Tanagers posted a 322-359 victory.
Led by Allison Stewart�s medalist score 78 and Karrie Plate�s 80, the other Vermillion varsity participants were Jackie Thomas and Ashley Bjorkman (97 each), Megan Deaver � 102, Nicole Veitz and Kaylie Heesch (110 each), and Dru VanKley (116).
The Tanager season record blossomed to 4-0 in duals. Coach Kirk Hogen was very pleased with the performances so far
�This was a great opening week for us. Beating four double ?A� schools gives us a lot of confidence for the future. However, we won�t rest on our laurels,� Hogen said.
