Beta Zeta Chapter to host convention The local Beta Zeta Chapter of Epsilon Sigma Alpha International will host the 52nd State Convention on May 3, 4, and 5 at the Eagles in Vermillion.
International philanthropic projects of the organization are St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Easter Seals and the state project is the Ronald McDonald House. Each chapter also sponsors its own local projects in their respective communities.
The theme for the convention is "E.S.A Odyssey." Representing the International Council will be IC Treasurer Judi King from Ohio. Dayle Mixer, of Missouri, will be representing the Midwest Area Regional Council. Janice Kitzler, state president, will be presiding.
Co-chairs of the convention are Paula Allstot and Jean Amun-dsen from Vermillion. Beta Zeta will be assisted by Alpha Alpha chapter from Sioux Falls.
The awards/recognition luncheon on Saturday will feature the recipient of the state youth award from Winner. Pastor Steve Miller will present a motivational address following the luncheon.
On Saturday evening, the installation of officers will take place at the Buffalo Run Winery and Sheila DeBoer, the 2002-2003 president, will giver her acceptance speech. Entertainment will be provided by a local choir.
