Hanson wins at Interstate Speedway Dave Hanson, a senior at VHS, in his second night of racing ever picked up the A feature win in the Roadrunner class at Interstate Speedway, Jefferson, last Sunday night.
After placing second in his heat race, he got to start in the third row inside in a 20-car field in the 12-lap main event. He ran in third place for most of the race, but with five laps to go, the first place car got a flat tire, which moved Hanson to second behind the 77 car.
Hanson was able to pass him with three laps left and battled through lapped traffic to get the checkered flag.
