Historic tour is Sunday The Clay County Historic Preservation Commission, in celebration of Historic Preservation Week has planned for the touring of several historic buildings for Sunday, May 19. All interested persons are invited to meet at the Vermillion Area Arts Council Building at 202 Washington Street at 1 p.m. to begin the tour.
In addition to the VAAC site, three turn of the century houses within Vermillion will be opened for public viewing, as well as a rural log house. Hosts for the tours will discuss topics ranging from choosing historic paint color, to the moving of accessory buildings to their present site. The public is invited to attend.
