These are just a few of the accomplishments of S.I.F.E. (Students in Free Enterprise), an organization of USD students interested in not only learning about the business world, but also teaching others how to be successful entrepreneurs.

The group teaches the basics of free enterprise to anyone who is willing to learn.

They've discovered there's a great hunger for business knowledge in the Vermillion region.

"We have worked on over 30 projects this year in Vermillion, as well as in Sioux Falls, Yankton and Sioux City," said Jenn Haas, a S.I.F.E. member.

The outreach work in itself is rewarding enough, but students involved in S.I.F.E. are the enjoying the added bonus of being recognized for their efforts.

The USD S.I.F.E. team traveled to Chicago, IL, to give a presentation at a regional competition. The team won top honors and the right to participate in the S.I.F.E. National Competition in Kansas City, MO, on May 12.
