Carrier is guest of Delta Kappa Gamma

Carrier is guest of Delta Kappa Gamma Alice Carrier, international second vice president for the Delta Kappa Gamma Society, will be the international guest at the Delta Kappa Gamma Alpha Pi State Convention, June 7-8 in Spearfish. The theme for the 2002 state convention is "Literacy for a Lifetime." Besides workshops and general sessions, a ceremony of remembrance for deceased members and the presidents' banquet will be held during the convention.

Carrier is an education consultant and a retired primary teacher. She was initiated into the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International in 1982. Since her initiation into the society, Carrier has held chapter, state, and international positions. Her family consists of her husband, Gary, and two married daughters, Allison and Christine.

Delta Kappa Gamma is an international society of women educators who promote professional and personal growth of women educators and excellence in education. Elizabeth Wood from Sioux Falls currently serves as the Alpha Pi state president.
