Cathy D. Erickson, 50, Vermillion, died Sunday, June 16, 2002 at Yankton.
Memorial services were held Thursday at First Baptist Church, Vermillion, with the Rev. Shelley Aakre officiating. Iverson-Siecke Funeral Home, Vermillion, was in charge of arrangements.
She was born Nov. 9, 1951, at Gothenburg, NE, to Delbert E. and Laverna M. (Metcalf) Schroeder. She married Kenneth Richard Erickson Dec. 31, 1969, at Vermillion. She had lived in Vermillion for 46 years and was a long-time food service worker at Aramark on the USD campus.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Richard, Vermillion; two sons, Kenneth Todd, Peoria, IL, and Jamie Allen, Vermillion; her mother, Laverna Schroeder, Gothenburg, NE; one sister, Elva Kay Medrano, Omaha, NE; two brothers, Les Schroeder, Veradale, WA, and Bruce Schroeder, Vermillion; and seven grandchildren.
Evelyn Rose (Millage) Cave, 86, Vermillion, died Thursday, June 13, 2002 at Sioux Valley Medical Center, Sioux Falls.
Funeral services were held Monday at First Baptist Church, Vermillion, with the Rev. Shelley Aakre officiating. Burial was in BluffView Cemetery, Vermillion.
Visitation was Sunday at Iverson-Siecke Funeral Home, Vermillion, followed by a prayer service with the Rev. Wayne James officiating at the funeral home.
She was born Nov. 5, 1915, at Elk Point to Louis and Ethel (Chamberlain) Provost. She attended Lake Norden Grade School. She was a member at First Baptist Church, Vermillion.
She married Charles Millage in 1934 in Vermillion. She married Laurria Cave Sept. 4, 1954, at Norfolk, NE. He died Oct. 20, 1985. She had lived in Vermillion for 20 years.
She is survived by two daughters, Elaine Hirsch, Vermillion, and Barbara Filanowski, Midway, GA; one son, Robert Millage Sr., Vermillion; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one sister, Doris Ledbetter of Oregon; one brother, Raymond Provost of Colorado; two half-sisters, Agnes Navarrette, Carter Lake, IA, and Mary Rose Taylor of Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her two husbands and a great-grandson, Nicholas Hirsch.
