Post #1 has football score vs. Beresford Legion by Jim Prosser The Vermillion Legion Post #1 baseball team improved its early season record to 6-6 with an overpowering victory over Beresford Legion Post #72 , 22-7, in what looks like a football score in a game played on Sunday, June 16, held at Beresford's ball park.
Adam Brunick started and pitched five innings, giving up seven runs (four unearned) on five hits and walking three, getting credit for the win.
Kevin Bleil took over for the remaining game and had two shutout innings, striking out the side to end the contest. A temporary lapse of concentration brought about three errors committed by Vermillion in the fifth inning. Otherwise it was a great pitching performance by the duo.
