Sioux Valley employees recognized at annual Quality Fair luncheon Sioux Valley Vermillion Medical Center employees were recognized at the Sioux Valley Hospitals & Health System annual Quality Fair Awards Luncheon at the Sioux Falls Convention Center.
The Quality Fair was held on May 14. Over 118 quality assurance and performance improvement projects were submitted by Sioux Valley Health System institutions from the four-state area of South Dakota, Iowa, Minnesota and Nebraska with over 40 institutions represented. Forty judges were involved in the selection of Quality Fair awards.
Sioux Valley Vermillion Medical Center employees were specially recognized for improving the patient education process for surgery patients and improving the financial and administrative systems supporting patient and resident care. These projects were recognized with honorable mention Awards.
The goal of the Sioux Valley Health System Quality Fair is to bring together the best practices and performance improvement projects from throughout the System to enable all Sioux Valley staff to learn from each other. The Sioux Valley Quality Fair is one of the largest of its kind and the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement Program is a recognized cornerstone of the Sioux Valley System Service Excellence Program.
