The board will conduct a public hearing July 15 at 8 p.m. in the Vermillion High School library to consider the school district's proposed budget for the fiscal year of July 1, 2002 through June 30, 2003.

At the conclusion of the 2002-2003 school year, the district will be facing a deficit spending situation of up to $800,000 without further cuts or an opt out from the tax freeze.
