Senior Men's Fun Golf League
Our finest golf day in a couple of months greeted the 38 seniors on July 23. The day was enjoyable but the scores turned in did not match the great weather. We found but three birdies and scores in the 40 range won prizes.
Our winning team had a birdie on #12 and a score of 37. Congratulations to a four-man team of Vern Holter, Quentin Oleson, Stan Munger and Joe Conroy. At 39, Mel Marcotte, Howard Connors and Jack Stewart gave our winners a battle. At 40 was Don Baer, Jim Reed and Ray Lynn, along with Loren Carlson, Ivan Pierce and Berwyn Svoboda, also Dave Raabe, Bob Lund and Tom Walker, and finally, Jerry Sommervold, Duncan McGregor and Bill Rasmussen.
The other birdies were scored by the team of Pete Berglund, Vern Christensen, and Ray Mount and the Dave Raabe team, one of our prize winners.
Larry Lickfelt joined the seniors today. Come again, Larry.
We will have coffee and donuts at 8:30 a.m. next Tuesday, golf at 9:20 a.m. or so and a fine noon meal. Plan to be there.
