Wednesday Ladies Golf, Bridge and Dominoes
The 11 golfers on July 10 walked, as no carts were allowed after 1 1/2 inches of rain on Tuesday. The golf committee's Karine Amundson and Darlene Engbrecht gave prizes for the winners of the game DICE. The players deducted from their score on each hole what she rolled on one dice. Rula Hatch, Lynne Hatle, Carol Clodfelter, Helen Brown, Mary Mock and Darlene Engbrecht were the winners.
The lunch committee, Pat Olson and Lorraine Brunick, chose baked potato bar catered by the Cherry Street Grille. Fifty members and guests were served. Karen Benson, Marsha Bruning and Arlene DeVany brought the goodies for dessert.
The car wash given by Russ Heikes was won by Doris Mitchell. The $10 membership drawing was won by Joan Willroth and the $5 by Jayne Merrigan.
The money winners at the six tables of bridge for the two marked tallies were Deanie Christopherson and Pat Beglund. The winners closest to 2990 were Pat Olson, Sarah Brown, Pat Berglund, Robin Eisenmenger, Phyllis Christol and Marsha Bruning.
Dominoes winners on July 3: Low Jan Chapman. Most rounds won was a tie Dorothy Dahlman and Jan Chapman. Dorothy Dahlman had high. On July 10, the low at two tables was Jan Chapman and Babe Hurowitz.

Senior Men's Fun Golf League
Wow! Forty-eight eager seniors came to The Bluffs on July 16 rearing to go. The day was clear and warm and a light breeze out of the south kept us comfortable.
The course was tough to find birdies and, try our best, only four were recorded. Our winning team of Gray Bailey (a guest of Jerry Sommervold), Howard Connors and Louie Fostvedt had birdies at #6 and #9 to help a final score of even par 36. Congratulations to our winners.
Other prize winners were at 37, Denny Duin, Rod Tiemens and Stan Munger; at 38, Pete Berglund, Mel Marcotte and Joe Conroy along with Shorty Hanson, Jim Grabowski and Bob Lund and the four-man team of Dick Munkvold, Ron Turner, Tom Odenbrett and Max Anderson; at 39, a four-man team of Ron Brown, Vern Holter, Bill Rasmussen and Jim Prosser along with Ross Johnson, Ivan Pierce and Fritz Bartels.
Finally at 40, was the team of Sid Davis, Quentin Larson and Don Bensen.
Since our 48 was our largest group this year, we can try to do even better next Tuesday. We have coffee, donuts and great fellowship at 8:30 a.m. and golf on one of South Dakota's best courses at 9:30 a.m. See you all next week.
Wednesday Evening Ladies League
Wednesday, July 10 was a beautiful evening for golf; not too hot and not too windy. Taking advantage of the evening were Jenny Chandler, with the low gross of 41 and a birdie (the only one of the evening) on #8, and Kris Gregoire, with the low net of 30 (54-24).
Our hosts, the Lucky Shots, gave out pin prizes for the closest second shot on #3 to Jennifer Steele, closest to the pin on #5 to Katie McCormick, and longest putt on #9 to Donna Schott. No one landed inside the rope. Inside the clubhouse, Lynette Wulff won the Quackson drawing. (Funny, she was part of the host team!) Join us next week for more fun, frolic and golf.
