The Bluffs hosts Silver Dollar South Dakota Pro/Am Open

The Bluffs hosts Silver Dollar South Dakota Pro/Am Open by Jim Prosser Last weekend the first stop on the Dakota Tour was hosted by The Bluffs and major sponsor Silver Dollar Restaurant. Thirty-six golfing pros and 72 amateurs played a 54-hole tournament covering three days � July 12, 13 and 14.

Each pro was joined with two amateurs for the first two days and a Pro/Am total score for the team determined the placing for that phase of the competition. Team results for day two were as follows:

On the last day, the pros and amateurs were split up and two separate tournaments were played to determine the placement and payoff for each part.

Vermillion had two professional representatives in the tournament: Adam Chandler and Eric Stevens. They were unable to qualify for a top place but Chandler missed by a stroke, finishing tied for 14th.

The three-day total score determined the places for gross and/or net for the amateurs. The prizes for this part of the event were pro-shop certificates and there were 12 top finishes plus ties in both scoring categories.
