Ellwanger, Hoop win Gold Rush Fun Run

Ellwanger, Hoop win Gold Rush Fun Run Scott Ellwanger of Vermillion and Tamie Hopp of Rapid City were overall winners in the Gold Rush Fun Run held July 28. The 5-kilometer race is run annually on the Mickelson Trail as a part of Custer's Gold Discovery Days Celebration.

Ellwanger's time was 16:44. Hopp ran the distance in 22:04

Winners in the masters (40 and over) division were Trish Filley of Spearfish, with a time of 23:39, and Rich Hadley.
