The workers are inching their way in a westerly direction, pouring truckload after truckload of the blacktop on the street and smoothing it with special equipment. Should Mother Nature cooperate, it appears that a several block long section of Main, from Plum Street west to Dakota Street, will have a new, smooth surface in just a few days.
