Obituaries Herbert C. Holoch
Herbert C. Holoch, 87, of Vermillion, died Friday, Aug. 9, 2002 at the Sioux Valley Vermillion Hospital in Vermillion.
Mr. Holoch was born Sept. 30, 1914 in Gayville to Charles and Sophia (Diebold) Holoch. He attended rural Gayville Schools, and graduated from Gayville High School. He married Lauretta Lucas on April 21, 1942 in Yankton, and he farmed with his wife in the Gayville and Meckling area all his life. His wife died in 2000.
He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, and devoted his entire life to farming and his family.
Survivors include his three sons, Allen (Jane), Duane (Connie), and Harold (June), all of Vermillion. He is also survived by a sister, Wilma Olsen of Vermillion; and nine grandchildren, Ryan, David, Janelle (Mike) Jones, Eric, John, Daniel, Jason, Zachary and Emily, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2002 at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Vermillion, with burial in the Calvary Cemetery in Vermillion. Visitation began at 5 p.m. Monday, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., all at the church. Hansen Funeral Home in Vermillion was in charge of the arrangements.
Mark A. Paulson
Mark A. Paulson, 49, of Vermillion, died Sunday, Aug. 11, 2002 in Vermillion. Memorial services are 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 17 at First Lutheran Church, Sioux Falls. Further arrangements are pending with Miller Funeral Home, Sioux Falls.
The family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Miller Funeral Home.
Survivors include his parents, Dr. Min and Dottie Paulson, Sioux Falls; his five siblings, David (Elaine) Paulson, Rapid City, Karen (Art) Bolstad, St. Louis, MO, John (Jane) Paulson, Vermillion, Mary (Mark) Berdahl, Sioux Falls, and Julie (Chris) Roberts, St. Louis, MO; 20 nieces and nephews, and 10 great-nieces and nephews.
