American Legion conference is Sept. 24 in Platte South Dakota American Legion State Commander Walt Lindemann of Eureka will present his "Keep the Pride" program to Legionnaires at Platte this month.
Commander Lindemann will tell Legionnaires about his program during the District 7 American Legion Conference on Tuesday, Sept. 24.
District 7 consists of 25 Legion Posts located in Bon Homme, Charles Mix, Clay, Douglas, Hutchinson and Yankton counties.
The conference will start at 7 p.m. in the Campbell-Timmermann American Legion Post #115 in Platte. A social hour will start at 6 p.m. in that same place.
Post #115 Commander Harlan Meyerink of Platte, District 7 Commander Charles Kunstle of Corsica, and Area Vice Commander Paul Jensen of Wakonda will all participate in the program.
Running concurrently with the Legion business meeting, the District 7 American Legion Auxiliary will also gather at 7 p.m. at the Kings Inn Motel. State Auxiliary President Marcella Lepp of Aberdeen will present her program for the coming year.
