Auditions for Broken Glass The University of South Dakota Department of Theatre will hold auditions for Broken Glass, a drama by Arthur Miller, Sept. 9 and 10 from 5 to 10 p.m. in the Wayne S. Knutson Theatre. Auditions, which are open to the public, will consist of an interview and readings from the script.
Auditonees also have the option of sharing a prepared dramatic monologue for their choosing. As auditions are in 15-minute intervals, those who wish to audition are asked to reserve a specific time on the theatre callboard located in the east hallway of the Warren M. Lee Center for the Fine Arts. Scripts may be signed out from the departmental office, room 184A in Fine Arts. Graduate student Dan Miller will direct the play and can be contacted at 624-7845 for further information.
Broken Glass, which has a cast of three women and three men, is one of Arthur Miller's most recent award-winning creations. The play is an exploration of marriage set against the backdrop of the Nazi pogrom Kristallnacht (Night of Broken Glass).
