Loren M. Herbaugh, 35, was arrested early Monday after Pennington County sheriff's deputies were called to a home in Wall because of an assault. They arrived to find Susan E. Joyce, 46, driving from the house with another woman and a 10-year-old boy in the vehicle.
Joyce told authorities Herbaugh had assaulted her female passenger and pointed a rifle at all three of them and threatened to shoot them.
