Wednesday, September 18

8 a.m. � Ladies morning golf, register.

8:30 a.m. � Tee off.

11:45 a.m. � Lunch.

12:30 p.m. � Bridge and dominoes.

5 p.m. � Wednesday Evening Ladies League.

5:45 p.m. � Shotgun start.

Thursday, September 19

2:30 p.m. � League Tournament (championship and consolation finals). Pairings listed in pro shop.

3 p.m. � Tee-off times to be arranged (check with Rusty).

Men's League

The league playoffs continued on Sept. 5, using the front nine tee boxes. Four teams are left for the semifinals.

First National Bank defeated Recuerdos/Silver$ 18.5 � 4.5, and Bluffs Boys out pointed Free Swingers 16 � 7, to set up the pairings for the Red flight.

The Blue flight had Serious Six squeaking past SVVC 13.5 � 9.5, and D.O. Double G falling to Pros 7.5 � 15.5. As the number of teams decreases in the tourney, the scoring also is effected.

Par 36 was the score for Rick Haught, the lowest scratch reported. Other under 40 scores were: Don Harris and Bill Willroth (37 each) and Brian Steel (39). Score of 40 was claimed by Kelly Higgins. Harris was credited with a lowest net 34.

There were 10 birdies for the day. Higgins, Haught, Don Scheidel, and Mike Anderson each had two.

Senior Men's Fun Golf League

A shower during the night hours and a wind shift to the north greeted 37 seniors with a cool windy day on Tuesday, Sept. 10 at the Bluffs. Scores were higher this week but still very good and very competitive.

Our winners at 37 were Mel Marcotte, Stan Munger and Cal Peterson with a birdie on #8. Congratulations to these fine seniors.

Other winners were at 38, Dave Roabe, Jack Doyle and Duncan Mc Gregor along with Ron Brown, Shorty Hanson, Jim Reed and Jim Prosser. Scoring 39, we had Elmer Mount, Dick Munkvold, Quentin Oleson and a 50 percent share of Mo Marcotte who altenated between two teams who also scored 39. One had Ross Johnson, Howard Connors and Vern Christensen and a 50 percent share of Mo Marcotte.

Finally, at 40 we had Loren Carlson, Ron Turner and Ted Van Bruggen.

There were seven birdies scored as follows, Mel Marcotte on #8, Dave Raabe on #3 and #5, Ron Brown on #2, Don Baer on #2 and #5 and finally Elmer Mount on #9.

Our Shot-of-the-Day award is shared by Ray Mount for a 48' putt on #5 and Don Baer for a 45' putt on #2. Nice going men.

We hope to see you on Tuesday, Sept. 17 for our usual coffee, donuts, golf and a fine noon lunch. Bring a friend.

Wednesday Ladies Golf, Bridge and Dominoes

The 17 golfers Sept 4 played the front nine for flag prizes.

The longest drive on #3 was Lynn Hatle, shortest drive #1 Ardyce Meisenholder, longest putt #6 Lynn Hatle, longest putt #2 Karine Amundson, closest to pin #8 Fritz Lefler.

The Cherry Street Grille served fajita chicken salad for 32 members. Lynn Hatle and Darlene Engbrecht baked pies for dessert. Deanie Christopherson won the car wash and the membership drawings were won by Pat Pratt and Jean Marshall.

The bridge prizes went to the high and low at each table: High � Gerry Van Bruggen, Marsha Brunning and Glennis Stewart. Low � Jean Marshall, Ridella Engman, and Pat Olson.

The 11 dominoes players played mexican train � Kay Heikes was low, Peggy Mollet was high, Fritz Lefler had most rounds won and Beverly Mount had mid score.
