VHS golf team beats Lennox in home opener by Jim Prosser The Tanager golf team, in a nine-hole competition against the Lennox Orioles at The Bluffs on Tuesday, Sept. 10, enjoyed a dual victory in the early season schedule.
The varsity and JV team scoring procedure used the four best of five format. The results were: Vermillion � 150; Lennox � 161.
The top five Tanager scorers were: medalist Rob Schaack 34; Nathan Boots 36; Chris Moen and Broc Gauer 40 each; Brad Schaack 41; and Ryan Powell 46.
Leading the JV scorers to a 190-205 win for Vermillion were Alex Schaack and Jordan Boots, both of who scored a 46. Other individual scores were: Joel Anderson and Steven Timms 49 each; Charles Odson 54; and Mikal Ustad 58.
