VHS golf team loses to Yankton by Jim Prosser Kirk Hogen, VHS golf coach was hoping for a team score near 330 to perhaps scrape a win over the Yankton Bucks at Hillcrest last Friday, Sept. 6.
If we can outscore a double A school like Yankton, well take it, even if its close! he said. Unfortunately the Tanagers 329 score came up short as the Bucks scored 326 for the victory.

The 18 hole dual match included the varsity and junior varsity squads.
Rob Schaack was medalist with a 75; Chris Moen was at 82; Rob Schaack and Nathan Boots each scored 86; Broc Gauer had a 90; and Alex Schaack finished with a 99.
The Bucks JV team overpowered the young Tanager JVs 340 384. Vermillion individual scoring was: Ryan Powell, 89; Joel Anderson, 96; Jordan Boots, 98; Charles Odson, 101; Steve Timms, 106; and Mikal Ustad, 111.
