Common sense parenting scheduled "Along with unconditional love and respect for children, parents need a logical, workable approach to discipline."
That statement is the basis for Common Sense Parenting training sessions that will begin Oct. 16 in Vermillion.
The sessions are designed to give parents tips on raising their children with a warm heart and a cool head. They will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Vermillion Middle School Library.
The six two-hour training sessions are designed for parents of pre-school and school age (grades K-5) children.
Facilitator of the sessions is Jean Hansen. Registration, book and child care will be provided at no cost.
Parents interested in participating should call 677-6767. The common sense parenting sessions are sponsored by the Clay County Protection Team and the United Way of Vermillion.
