Eighth-grade Redbird volleyball team update Here are the results for the eighth-grade volleyball matches played recently.

At the Canton Invitational, Vermillion placed second, losing to Parker 25-15, 15-25, 8-15; beating Canton 18-25, 25-20; 15-5; beating Lennox 25-17, 25-18.

In a home match versus EP/J, the C team lost 20-25, 23-25; the B team lost 22-20, 19-25; and the A team won 25-20, 25-23.

At the Big Eight Conference Tournament, the A team won first place, defeating Madison 25-23, 25-17; and beating Lennox 25-5, 25-12. The B team placed second losing to Madison 14-25, 21-25; then winning over Lennox 25-8, 25-22.
