Madison falls to Tanagers in volleyball by Jim Prosser Last Tuesday night, Oct. 8 the Tanager volleyball team traveled to Madison and came away with another victory for the varsity, 25-10, 25-21, 25-20; a loss by the B team 25-16, 11-25, 5-15; while the C team had a tough three-game match 25- 5, 27-25, 15-9 for their win.
The C team coach Rachel Stokes cited the following for their play: Brittany Campbell � seven aces, seven set assists; Michelle Olson � six aces, three kills, two blocks; Heather Walker � three kills, one block; Paige Prosser � four aces; Brittney Babb � two aces, three kills; Patricia Merrigan � two aces; and Whitney Hollings-worth � four set assists.
The junior varsity coach, Mandi Muller recognized the following players: Erin Austin � 11 digs; Melissa Olson � nine digs, one block; Brittany Campbell � nine digs, assist leader; Jackie Thomas � two kills, one block; Heather Walker � one block, five aces; � eight assists; and Brittany Sand � two aces.
"The girls really pulled out all the stops against the Bulldogs," said head coach Lenni Billberg about the varsity match. "They played with more enthusiasm and confidence than they have all year. Ashley and Whitney are really leading these young Tanagers well."

Varsity record now stands at seven wins, eight losses.
