Meet the candidates Oct. 21 by Amber Wilde The Vermillion Public Library will host a brown bag lunch Oct. 21 from noon to 2 p.m. Candidates from all local, state and national races have been invited and several have confirmed that they will be stopping by. The lunch is designed to offer those who are new to the area or want to know the candidates better an opportunity to meet the candidates in an informal setting. The event is free and open to the public. The library will provide cookies and coffee.
The brown bag lunch is just one of the programs offered by the library in an attempt to provide a variety of adult activites.
Jill Puffer, library program coordinator, is also working to start a book club. A meeting is scheduled Oct. 24 at 7 p.m. to discuss the choice of books, set up meeting times and provide additional information. If you have questions or are interested but unable to attend the meeting, stop by the library or e-mail Jill at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Check with the library for future additions to the adult program schedule.
