Tanager golf team captures Big Eight Conference meet by Jim Prosser The Tanager golf team played a triangular match against Lennox and Madison as the Big Eight Conference meet was held on Thursday, Oct. 3 at the Madison Country Club.
The Vermillion varsity won it all with a team score of 323, with Madison taking second (325) and Lennox third (340).
Medalist for the meet was the Bulldogs� James Green with a score of 76. Vermillion�s Nathan Boots was second at 79, while Justin Burma from Lennox and Rob Schaack, Vermillion, tied for third at 80.
Other scorers for Vermillion individuals were: Brad Schaack 81; Chris Moen 83; and Ryan Powell 92.
The JV team scores were: Vermillion and Madison 369 each; Lennox 416.
Individual Tanager JV scores were: Alex Schaack 87; Broc Gauer 92; Jordan Boots 95; Joel Anderson 95; and Mikal Ustad 104.
Madison�s Gavin Fawbush was JV medalist with an 82.
