VHS volleyball teams face Yankton at Summit Center by Jim Prosser On Monday night, Oct. 21, the freshman (C) volleyball team lost a closely competed five-game set 13-25, 25-18, 12 � 25, 25-19, and 15-11 at the Yankton Summit Center.
Here are the Tanager player stats: Brittany Campbell � seven set assists; Brittney Babb � four kills, six aces, one block, 11 digs; Heather Walker � one block; Michelle Olson � five kills, 14 digs, six aces; Paige Prosser � three kills, 18 digs; Whitney Hollingsworth � four set assists; and Amy Mollet � three kills.
The C team coach is Rachel Stokes and their season record is 6-4.
The JV team went two games losing 2-0 with scores of 8-25, and 18-25.
Here are their individual stats: Leading with pass offense (digs) were: Jena Mulder and Erin Austin � four each; Heather Walker � one block, four kills; Kelsie Austin � two ace serves, one kill; Melissa Olson � three kills, six digs, one block, three aces.
Jackie Thomas was the assists leader with eight; Jordan Meyer and Nikki Nelson had one kill each.
The coach for the B team is Mandi Muller. The teams were scheduled to join the varsity in a match at Beresford Tuesday, Oct. 22
