First Dakota National Bank was founded in 1872 and holds the oldest charter in the area once called the Dakota Territory. The growth and strength of the bank was due, in part, to its consistent commitment to the farmers and agri-business industry, the economic backbone of the area for over 100 years.
South Dakota has changed; however, First Dakota remains committed to existing and prospective customers by offering the broadest array of financial services in the state.
First Dakota makes banking convenient by delivering Internet banking, electronic cash management for businesses, check imaging, telephone banking, ATM cards, Checkcards, and more.
First Dakota provides choices by offering trust and investment services in addition to traditional banking products. And most of all, providing service by placing the utmost importance on building customer relationships based on knowing each customer and meeting his or her financial needs. It means listening. Helping. Putting People First.
Today, First Dakota has total assets exceeding $450 million with a financial team of over 200. First Dakota has grown to 10 offices in Chamberlain, Kimball, two in Mitchell, Parkston, Salem, Vermillion, Wagner and two in Yankton. The Mitchell North location is projected to open within the next 60 days.
