International forum is Nov. 4

International forum is Nov. 4 "Is Islam the Enemy?" will be the topic of the Nov. 4 noon International Forum, sponsored by the School of Business. It will be held in Hoy B of the USD Coyote Student Center.

Panelists include Dr. Steven Bucklin (history), Abdelkabir Kahlaouy (Arabic), and Dr. Tim Schorn (political science). Moderator will be Dr. Benno Wymar (economics/emeritus).

Topics which will be taken up include the terrorist attacks in Indonesia (Bali), the Phillippines, Moscow and the Washington, DC area.

This monthly event is open to the public.

HEAD:South Dakota Public Broadcasting online to cover All-State Chorus and Orchestra

South Dakota Public Broadcasting Online will feature the All-State Chorus and Orchestra rehearsals and concert in Sioux Falls Friday, Nov. 8, and Saturday, Nov. 9 on sdpb.org.

Featured on sdpb.org will be photos of the rehearsals and interviews with the conductors. Audio and video of the Grand Finale Concert at the Sioux Falls Arena & Convention Center will be online by Friday, Nov. 15.

This project is part of SDPB's High School Championships Online, a collaboration between South Dakota Public Broadcasting (SDPB) and the South Dakota High School Activities Association (SDHSAA), which provides live results and a multi-media archive (library) on the Web of all high school state championship events. The site, www.sdpb.org, covers fine arts festivals and boys' and girls' athletic events.
