Vermillion Fertilizer honored by South Dakota Farm Bureau The South Dakota Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers Committee announced three awards at the 85th Annual Meeting in Sioux Falls.
Farm Bureau Achievement Award winners were Russ and Sherray Hurlbert of Raymond. Hurlberts own and operate a grain and livestock farm in western Clark County. In addition to their farming operation, Hurlberts were recognized for their community involvement and participation in Farm Bureau. Russ is a member of the SDFB Board of Directors and a past president of the Clark County Farm Bureau.
Winning the excellence in Ag Award were Kent and Shawn VanderWal of Bruce. VanderWals were selected for their involvement in agriculture, leadership ability, involvement and participation in Farm Bureau and other organizations.
All three winners compete at the American Farm Bureau Annual Meeting in Tampa, FL, Jan. 19-22, 2003.
