'A Texas Christmas' at Gayville Saturday Danny Santos, the Austin, TX singer-songwriter who wowed audiences at the Sioux River Folk Festival at Newton Hills State Park last summer with his group, Los Bluegrass Vatos, returns to South Dakota Saturday to warm the season with "A Texas Christmas" at Gayville Hall at 8 p.m.
John and Susan McNeill, the regular musical hosts at the performance hall in Gayville, will open the show.
Since embarking on a fulltime music career nine years ago, Santos has established himself in the renowned Austin music scene with a unique blend of country folk, bluegrass and blues. He has also toured extensively throughout the United States and Europe.
Born in south Texas and inspired by his Latin and Texas heritage, Santos began playing guitar at age 13 and acknowledges such diverse influences as the Beatles, Hank Williams, Townes Van Zant and Guy Clark.
The Gayville show will include popular and seasonal favorites, as well as his original songs.
Gayville Hall is at 502 Washington Street in Gayville. Tickets are $10 at the door or $12.50 for an advance reserved seat. Call 605-267-2859.
