Appreciation Day successful in Wakonda Approximately 125 people were present for the annual Christmas Appreciation Day. Pancakes and sausages were served at the Legion hall from about 9:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. The highlight of the day was Santa's appearance shortly after noon.
Over three dozen very nice prizes and gifts were distributed to people who had registered at local places of business. Prizes not picked up are at First Premier Bank in Wakonda.
Club members and "Teens" from the school provided excellent help for the Dec. 21 event.
