Corps of Engineers offers new Web page The Northwestern Division of the Army Corps of Engineers has opened a new page on its Web site that presents information and resources on fish and wildlife habitat restoration at The corps is heavily involved in efforts ranging from reestablishing habitat along the Missouri River in Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas and Missouri to evaluating long-term measures for improving habitat on Puget Sound in Washington.

While the corps is authorized to work on specific projects, its major efforts are in cooperation with the states, other federal agencies and private groups. Consequently, this Web site also provides a wide variety of links to other states, agencies, organizations and projects such as the Everglades restoration.

It also features a section on education and teacher resources. There are links to a wide variety of information designed especially for children.
