LaBahn to graduate from Spalding Ronald L. LaBahn, a U.S. Coast Guard first class petty officer and 1987 graduate of Burke High School, will receive a bachelors degree in business administration from Spalding University in Louisville, KY on Dec. 22. LaBahn will graduate with high honors, accumulating a grade point average of 3.87.
LaBahn has been an active member of the Coast Guard for the last 13 years, achieving the rank of Storekeeper First Class. During his career, he has been involved in illegal migration interdiction, counter-narcotics enforcement, international training with Caribbean nations, as well as Marine Safety and Environmental Protection.
He was awarded the Coast Guard Achievement Medal for superior performance of duty during the Coast Guard Cutter Bramble's deployment in the Caribbean Sea, and will receive a second achievement medal.
He is the son of Darlis LaBahn, Vermillion.
